There has been a lot of spam on XMTP these past few days, so wouldn’t it be cool to have:

staked and non-staked addresses, where users can choose in the app layer to only receive messages from staked addresses. 

If the adress receives enough complaints (governed by smart contract) the address is slashed.

following our thread the other day, while again not a direct solution, this also seems like it could be a novel workaround, @notdevin.eth @solana1
