seeing increasingly more nfts on here where i think, 'i'd love to mint that' only to click & find out it's on objkt (a tezos nft marketplace) 😭

Tezos (Objkt) is full of treasures. What is it precisely you are looking for. You'd need a texos wallet for delivery but you can pay with credit card

objkt offers a farcaster frame but the mint button: 1) takes you to an external page (their marketplace app); and 2) you need xtz to mint

i think it's safe to say fc is pretty evm maxi so i assume not as many users will casually carry xtz

so would be great to somehow "crosschain" mint tezos nfts from eth wallets

Agree. I suspect there are some wallets that can handle that. I think there was an option to pay with eth even, but maybe you have to switch that on when you create smrh.
For the artists it would be great, too.
