Zojirushi rice cookers: aspirational items in Asian households across the world. Have been brainwashed for 40 years lol about the magical engineering of "fuzzy logic"

I haven't been able to justify Zojirushi. My $40 ons cooks rice perfect to my liking (I eat white rice as opposed to brown). But it doesn't have a jingle at the end.

it's a big commitment, I agree. Ours has an honorific (電鍋先生), backup plastic paddles/scooper spoons, and only gets washed by hand with its own special sponge. That little jingle makes it all worth it!

Oh, it's the actual name of the product? I thought it was your family's nickname for it or something 😆

grew up in a Zojirushi family but since getting married wife has made us a cuchen household but actually these days we use the pressure cooker for rice more than the actual rice cooker just because we're not eating as much 🍚

dude I think we are mirror images. I grew up in a Tatung family but since getting married wife has made us a Zojirushi household. also, real talk, grandma never touched Kikkoman soy sauce. And she would've lost her mind if we ever drove Toyota, Honda or Mazda. We always had American cars...I was crazy 'bout a Mercury.
