for now the idea is to spend $XP to increase stats, on the nft contract were you thinking of something else?

I see a future where you could spend tokens also to - change class - craft equipment - access quests but the bigger question here is what should be tied to the token/nft, and what to the game protocols

yeah that makes sense. was thinking something of spending tokens for enchanting weapons etc. is the nft contract not in the base game protocol? or are u envisioning a modular system ala ERC-6551 where a class could be token rather than some metadata?

nft contract is separate, so that it’s not tied to any specific game but instead is generic for now planning to define class and other elements as onchain state in the nft contract. will def also explore if there’s existing ercs we can leverage
