yall mind if i get vulnerable a second?? ok so i got dropped by my commercial agent last week.... this is partly cos of this years injury and not being able to compete as much as id have liked...so i get it and also partly cos i don't really post on insta anymore it's funny cos i tried to explain what im building onchain but they didn't get it and didn't really listen?? idk part of me is sad because i don't love being dropped/rejected?? and feeling like im not good enough but part of me is happy cos i already know that i'm not the conventional athlete really think what im building here is special and will be recognised in the future even if it isn't super meaningful in the mainstream right now there are so many more possibilities onchain and i would rather be supported by ppl who actually believe in my potential on and off the track anyway glad thats off my chest will prob delete later x

I took a screen shot in case you deleted it. So I can remind you that you were correct in believe your potential those years back. Out of curiosity, what do they expect from their athletes or you?

thank you so much for the belief ! hmm i think agencies want athletes who are winning medals and/or have interesting stories/ lots of followers on insta so they can market to brands to get sponsorships i have achieved as much as other sponsored athletes hence being on the world class olympic programme but my event is super niche in track and field, the track events are more popular so sprinters and runners are more likely to get sponsorships as triple jump gets less TV time

Got it, so the market opportunity seems to be a low view event from an unconventional person, causing a draw in of viewership?
