I can believe this based on my own experiences. (I’ve never worked in construction, it there’s a strong correlation between the jobs I was happiest in and the jobs that involved a high degree of manual labor.)

Many handymen I talked with about their work always refer to short feedback loop and movement. * Manipulating atoms using muscles is as natural as you can get.

Having now participated in both sides of the labor pool for more than a decade each, I can say construction is significantly more rewarding on a daily basis than tech work is. I absolutely love building in tech space, but only if it’s a thing I get to use, otherwise I’d rather build your house for you
