I think that's a very "wide" definition of decentralised that you're using....

In my experience, these people have been jaded by toxic maximalism or degeneracy of crypto people they’ve interacted with

The internet enabled online gambling. In many places, that behavior became regulated and the internet thrived without it. As much as a lot of people here think it’s fine for crypto to only be for gambling, I’m not one of them. I need to see evidence of thriving without crypto. (Not anti-crypto btw 😂)
