Imagine you found OpenAI with Elon Musk and get a lot of money from him. Then you change OpenAI nonprofit to ClosedAI for-profit and your co-founder Elon Musk helps Trump win the election and is permanently at his side. I don't know how you see it, but it's not really an advantageous situation.

How do you think Balaji's probabilities of a US default (10% chance of a fiat crisis happening in months, 70% chance in years, 19% chance in decades, 1% chance in centuries) have changed due to D.O.G.E. and Elon? Personally, I think these are fortunately too high.

my past self | my future self I canceled my ChatGPT subscription yesterday and am only on Grok. I have never had such a feeling before. When I wanted to show my mother a few things yesterday (harmless religious topics, as she is interested in them), it refused to answer me because it does not fit the terms of use. Holy sh*t that is really crap.

A tip for all contact lens wearers. Yesterday I had my annual eye check-up and the doctor told me that it is a good idea to take out the lenses 3 to 4 hours before going to bed and put on glasses. The oxygen supply to the eyes is worse with contact lenses and also when sleeping (eyes are closed) than during the day without lenses. Ideally, you should also use eye drops in the evening.
