A friend once shared a story about an ordinary morning commute. They were on the subway, earbuds in, zoning out as usual, when an older gentleman sat next to them. Normally, they wouldn’t engage in conversation, but that day, the man asked for help with directions. After helping him, they exchanged a few words, which turned into a full conversation about travel, family, and life. What was supposed to be a typical, quiet ride turned into an interesting chat with a complete stranger. By the time they reached their stop, they left feeling unexpectedly uplifted by the connection.
