Together, they managed to gather everything and hand it back to the man, who smiled gratefully and thanked them. As they returned to their spots, the bus pulled up, and everyone got on. Mark found a seat by the window and noticed the older man waving as he got off at the next stop. It was a small, ordinary moment, but one that left Mark feeling connected to the strangers around him.
