Today I realized using a digital TradFi wallet like Google Wallet is safer than using a physical card in stores because digital TradFi wallets create a virtual account number.

Someone tried to charge over 1,000 USD worth of Hilton hotel stays in Memphis Tennessee on my card. Another credit card was hacked back in October. I don't know if either were done through physical store or digital thefts.

It's a good idea to add a backup credit card to a backup phone to quickly be up and running if needed.

My phone has been working intermittently the past few days too creating a perfect storm so if my phone goes down I lose access to my last credit card.

Same. I had to have seen this detail at some point. Now it's more memorable. Lol. Always use digital when possible.
