Is there a service to receive local cash from stablecoins when traveling rather than relying on a plastic card as a solo point of failure? Today the ATM *literally* took my card.

This is not good UX. I will be grabbing my ATM card right away from now on. A backup is to send yourself a wire transfer. I'm not sure exactly how you'd receive it. Maybe a large international bank may let you receive a transfer even if you're not a customer.

I wasn't sure if I was having a stroke or losing my mind. I couldn't find my card anywhere before realizing the machine actually did steal it while I was counting my rent money.

Fortunately I found a Krungsri branch and will hopefully receive my card back this week.

Thank you @nixo for telling me about bestchange.com! The UX is straightforward to compare exchangers in your city that have an office or work with a courier.

I selected an exchanger and I don't 100% understand "the last mile" of how to receive the cash after the transaction is complete.

Perhaps I'll test it out with 10 USDC first.
