Can any travelers with experience in extended stays in Thailand and that have a US passport provide feedback if this is a viable path for spending ~120 days in Thailand? Much appreciated! 🇹🇭🇺🇸

I'm looking to spend 2 months in Chiang Mai and 2 months in Bangkok.
1. Apply for tourist e-visa online ahead of travel: +60 days
2. Apply for extension in Chiang Mai directly or w/ visa agent service: +30 days
3. Fly out of Thailand and return: +30 days

It seems that it is possible to fly out and return to Thailand 6 times per calendar year according to this law firm's blog.

I'm also thinking I could potentially convert to another visa type, "Business Visit" if I am able to purchase a @devcon conference ticket.

Thanks to Pieter Levels I learned that Thailand may offer a digital nomad e-visa as early as end of year too.

Devcon is a non profit event, organized by the Ethereum Foundation. It is about the future of technology and society, not just Ethereum.

It's also worth following ongoing updates as Thailand seems to be implementing automatic 60 day visas soon which is an increase from the current 30 days.
