I learned the best way to find the nicest and most affordable apartments with the least amount of work in Bangkok is to commit to living here for at least 3 months so that you can use a rental agent|leasing agent.

In /chiangmai you could simply walk up to apartments and ask about their monthly rate. I wonder which other cities in /sea and around the world it makes sense to use a short term leasing agent compared to Airbnbs and searching on foot.

I'm excited to learn about Bangkok BKK as one of the biggest sources of local builders for open, programmable, self owned digital assets and accounts in Southeast Asia.

I never would have known this is possible for shorter term 3 months unless I had traveled slowly through /chiangmai and /bangkok.

Likely most places tbh, nothing beats walking down a street, meeting owners, seeing the angle of the sun at a specific time of day in the living room etc

For our upcoming move we're planning a few weeks of hotel and Airbnb and then doing exactly what you're doing, finding a local agent for a longer term option, in our new location
