Vitamin D3 supplements are oddly expensive in /bangkok in the half dozen pharmacies I've looked at. - I normally take 2,000 IUs a day when I don't get much natural sun exposure - A pharmacist recommended taking a more affordable version of 5,000 IUs 3 times per week - Is it likely my body can absorb a comparable amount of vitamin D3 at a higher dose and lower frequency because it is fat soluble and lasts in the body longer or is this not accurate?

I’m surprised bc Southeast Asia pharmacies tend to be extremely cheap compared to America! Is it expensive enough that it would be worth getting them shipped from the states? Also just in case you didn’t know your body needs k2 in order to properly absorb d3

I asked my doctor if one of these is better and he said the same as your pharmacist and that there is likely little difference between the 2 approaches. He said D3 is "slow" but I didn't ask for specifics
