My top places in Asia so far:

1. Da Nang - great weather (20-25), surfing, lots of good places to eat, everything is super cheap, not crowded.
2. Kuala Lumpur - clean, cheap, english speaking, great services, walkable.
3. Bangkok - didn't impress me in any way, prices even similar to Berlin, but has its own vibe

/bangkok is massive and complex so many travelers I've noticed through talking to are overwhelmed, overpay, and|or write it off. Given the research and|or having a friend provide recommendations makes it a fantastic city.

I've been living here for 3 months and would come back given I check the air quality forecast in advance.

Oh yeah, I definitely fall into the category of people who overpaid in a few places - especially for medical services, which put it on my bottom list. But I’m open to giving it another try for sure!
