If Ungoogled Chromium does what it says that is huge because it means browsers like /brave would not be dependent on Google support of Chromium for core libraries or services. Thanks to @nocrimez.eth for the share! https://x.com/nocrimez/status/1867620242576306589

Pretty sure they depend on Google to maintain the quality of Chromium. For a true open source alternative I have high hopes for https://ladybird.org/ and their web engine. Early days but they are moving fast

Getting apps to build for their version of extensions/add-ons will be hard. Everything else like bookmarks should be easy to import which is the most important part of a browser to quickly open views from the address bar and use custom search engines with shortcuts like you can do in Firefox. https://warpcast.com/adamhurwitz.eth/0xe513df25

Extensions is interesting, I kind of don't like em from a security perspective. I think most people are way too liberal when it comes to installing extensions and give them excess rights to their browsers/machines.
