I'm still processing the news of David Lynch passing. His work played a pivotal roll during various parts of my life, and I'll probably speak more about them at some point. However, for now I'll surface this passage from his book "Catching The Big Fish", where he rebukes the notion of working from a place of fear.

A true artist and auteur. I have such massive admiration for him and loved so much of what he created. If you care about art and creativity, I'm not sure how you wouldn't feel the same about him. I was lucky enough to spend a short time with him years ago. I was talking to him about a company I was working for. We drank coffee (of course). He sent me with coffee and an amazing book that I have cherished ever since. He was such a lovely and attentive person and it really left an impression on me.

I have written many academic articles about his films. Dreams were the main element of his films. May he rest in peace❤️
