Skype definitely changed the game. No longer did phone companies have a monopoly over minutes to charge. WhatsApp really replaced Skype this way.

That was the best way to call family abroad.  Good memories

But Apart from that … Teams is defacto Skype
For a while Teams on linux would still have Skype as window title hehe
