We have about 900,000 accounts. We have about 30,000 DAU We have about 2,500 Neynar Power Badges. Half of those are also ranked in the top 1% of OpenRank. If your friends who interact with you often are highly ranked in all of these algorithms, there’s a high probability that they are highly ranked in the Warpcast algorithm, which is secret. New people can technically succeed on the leaderboard but it’s only because high value accounts interact with them. BRACKY is a great example. It’s a bot but lots of high value casters played with it this week.

💯 "technically succeed" is just not good enough. If your success on the network depends on OG gatekeepers then most people will just go elsewhere. And rightly so.

The algo heavily favors early well connected accounts. There is no getting around that as the systems currently stand. It’s why I’m all in on channels. We now have the ability to isolate our channels from the noise of the network and reward people inside the channels. I think this is the way forward.
