The best way to change Farcaster if you're unhappy with it: 1. Use another client like @supercast and give the developer feedback 2. Build / fund someone to build your own client like /nouns is doing 3. Thoughtful critique either publicly or privately to me and Varun

the fixed auto follow list primarily got a lot of old high school friends to download WC to play @perl and immediately their first comment was "why am I auto following all these randos" it's qualitative feedback and I'm sure you're looking at engagement holistically, but dynamic onboarding could help

It's not a fixed list. 1. You select interests. There are accounts that are active in those interests and they have a recommendation score. 2. We also add in some randomness to the number of people you follow. If no auto-follow, then it's a pure algo. Which effectively does the same thing, but no follows.

I created a dev tester account yesterday. No interests selected, and got 72 follows. I get the point of it but I think it's not clear to new users why they are following these accounts, how it's determined or why they don't have an option to explore on their own and choose who to follow organically.
