"Best money" needs to be clarified a bit. Best for what? If it's as a medium of exchange you probably don't want the currency to appreciate over time, you want it to be stable.

sure, in context of fiat money I mean top reserve currencies, which tend to also be top economies / jurisdictions by commonplace metrics like GDP, desirability of doing business, etc.
