Really interesting reading, Aaron. Thank you very much. 🖤 🖤 Answering your question: I think it's in some way a necessary step for our evolution and, in a way, for our survival as a species. But I see immortality more as a consequence of transcending into the digital realm, rather than an end in itself. Obviously, I can't know what awaits us after an eventual Singularity, but I lean towards thinking of a painless integration between AI and HI. That said, without losing our individuality unless we choose to, just as having the ability to live indefinitely doesn't force you to do so.

ty 🤗 i tend to agree with you and we can only expect that our connection to the digital will only get more direct vs these dumb terminal methods. tbd tho - the sentient robots may cross over to our world first imo

Yeah! I don't quite understand why we are still glued to a 2D screen using a keyboard as an input method like in the 60s. On the other hand, given the level of dependence we've reached, it's almost better to avoid ending up like in Snow Crash. 😅 As for sentient machines, I tend to think that if they do emerge, it will, in one way or another, be the great turning point of our civilization. I'm very optimistic and don't believe it will lead to a conflict as simplistic as what cinema has insisted on putting in our heads, but rather something good for everyone.
