"Why I'm considering leaving Farcaster for XYZ and other acts of self-inflicted sabotage" Ok hopefully that's a decent hook to get you in here. Firstly, these comments are coming from a place of caring. So please keep that in mind. I think some folks here have (hopefully temporarily) lost the plot, or haven't really made the effort to understand it when coming here in the first place. Everyone here right now has the incredible privilege of being part of a small, tight-knit community of people - many of whom have a proven track record of delivering really impressive products with millions of users. Remember - this is a social graph being built that is not controlled by a single corporation that can change or revoke your access to it at their whim. You want to go back that sort of environment from here? Seriously? People talking like this are just telegraphing that they have put zero energy into truly understanding what is going on here and what is at stake.

This space is full to the brim with people who are passionate about building a better online experience than what we currently have. Have you tried genuinely connecting with any of them, using their apps that they're making, offering constructive feedback? Or have you been deeply unserious about the things you should be serious about (the tech, connecting with others, growing along with the network), and far too serious about trying to make easy money, then getting upset when the latest trend you chase doesn't work out? If you're going to be here - be here. But if you leave to go off somewhere else chasing whatever the now current thing is - the result isn't going to be any different for you there either.

This was a great read People that are definitely complaining are the ones who aren’t getting replies(moxie) They never formed connection with anyone to begin with when they probably joined the app long ago, so of course things will get harder for them and they will just keep complaining people just have to show interest in making genuine connections really, just keep vibing. i’m not a dev but i still show up everyday and talk to people, vibe with who i can and go on about my day, its just simple

This is an incredible write up man, people need to be aware about the opportunities that surround them and try to put it to good use instead of just chasing quick money tbh I hope this resonates with people and they try to change how they see and approach this space cause there’s so much potential here So much! And I hope people are bright enough to see that

Are you saying that Dan and team can’t make changes to the algorithm at whim? I appreciate the positivity but the sub-tweet really doesn’t directly counter any points made by the people you claim to care about. People have a right to be upset with the platform or their experience. However they feel is totally valid. But if we are to ignore the psychographic information from this social graph that’s “negative” or manually mark it as spam we aren’t really solving the problem. It’s not true caring unless you actively work and build to create more impactful experiences for them.

It especially frustrates me when artists give up and go back to X. I get it - this is not a better place to build an audience for artists right now. Sadly it just isn't. But it takes artists to change that.

I'm here for the frens and good times, to make more dev frens and build things. I'm quite new here and haven't fully explored the ecosystem, but I'm finding it a lot more fun and exciting than trying to connect with people on twitter. It's hard to make connections on CT, as everyone is so adversarial, I only really started to make connections when I went to a conference (ETHDublin homies ❤️)
