Rebuilding a family cabin in Maine with my brother @dish has been an experience of a lifetime. We have spent every childhood summer up there (to this day). The cabin is on a small island in the Moosehead Lake region of northern Maine. When this solar panel induced fire happened in the summer of ‘22, the whole family was in devastation. After nearly 2 years of uncertainty, wondering if we’d ever be able to rebuild this special place of ours, we were blessed to have family members help us with the process of rebuilding. Within 14 days in June of ‘24, we were able to completely frame the new structure of the house. The primary crew consisted of myself, my brother, my sister, mom/dad, 2 hard working cousins, as well as my uncle who was the mastermind behind the whole operation. Everything happens for a reason, we all became closer as a family, closer as friends, and all gained life long skills and memories that will never be forgotten.

Ethereum L1 gas fees are through the roof right now and the burn is on. But L2 gas fees are only a little higher since rollups have their own blob market. I dunno man, it's almost like modularity is working..

Blockchains are utterly pointless without maximal decentralization, high security, and censorship-resistance. No excuses. If our industry is not prioritizing decentralization above all else, then we are merely recreating a more inefficient version of TradFi.

Noboribetsu is famous for their hot spring waters, which all come from “Hell Valley” and make the landscape of the town absolutely stunning. Although these lakes might look appealing, you will die if you jump in. They average 80° C or 176 Freedom Units, so look but don’t touch! That color is all natural from the minerals in the water and you CAN soak in it in town, but it’s cooled to a toasty 43°C (109°F) for the Onsen.
