The ideal crypto experience for the average consumer is their not even realizing that they are using crypto. That’s what embedded wallets enable.

Excellent question. “Why onchain?” - Operational efficiency - use the blockchain as your backend - Built-in identity, computation, value attribution - Profit motive - crypto makes money! - Interoperability and composability So many advantages to building your app onchain that go beyond simple payments

i am not questioning onchain. i’m doing the opposite. crypto needs to be seen. not hidden behind abstractions. ur first cast contradicts with your reply.

I don’t think so! The benefits of crypto can be enjoyed by end users without exposing the complexities of cryptography, transactions, consensus, etc etc. All of that should be opaque.

if end users don’t realize they r using crypto, then they can’t take advantage of the unique features u mentioned. they use venmo & accomplish the same task. crypto is a “strong” technology. a new paradigm on how people transact. abandoning this for a single use case does a disservice to all its promise.
