i personally would never ride in a robo taxi that only used cameras. that's what elon is trying to do right? waymo experience is nice too 👌 we already know musk uses x to propel his agenda and shit post about his competitors. someone can probably articulate the reasons better than i can, but "this is bad".

this isn't a fun comment but isn't a human driver the same as having 2 cameras, with mirrors to extend their range?

No you also have intuition, inference of sound and critical thinking about the environment (like what’s beyond objects or how objects may or may not move about the world)

that's true, ai has this ability as well perhaps not sound.. then again, many people drive safely with music that makes their ears bleed

Would have to argue maybe what Wayve is doing is real and not theoretical

Great to see It’s a market, more competition the better - we’ll watch, use and contribute to each will approach and we’ll learn Easy to have a leaderboard for - km driven - incidents - cost And they not only compete against each other, they compete with existing drivers I’d take FSD over a 95 yr old driver with poor vision any day

- fatalities related to software/improper ADAS use - accidents related to same Poor old drivers are dangerous, but their decisions likely don’t initialize as catastrophic of events. Have not checked data (also bc FSD data is obscured) - purely intuition knowing how the systems designed

find the boogeyman data, sometimes not as bad as imagined

Lawsuit settlements not promising that it’s a boogeyman. I am not signed up for the beta test of life - losing a loved one for the sake of technology & shareholder value is not worth it imho

we all have loved ones, a focus on the sensational, isn't an automatic win the rational implementation of new tech can protect our love ones

Other drivers on the road don’t get to pick if they’re subject to ADAS that is 1) not performant and 2) over confident drivers using the ADAS Ig the same argument about distracted drivers but think this implementation of software is irresponsible. I’m pro tech, not pro FSD without more oversight (or clearly functional product)
