My parents have a satirical poster hung up in the garage that says: “TEENAGERS: Tired of getting told what to do? Move out, get a job, and start paying the bills. Do it while you still know everything!” It’s funny because it’s true. There is a simplicity to life that degrades as you age. Things become less black and white and more.. complicated. People deal with this complexity differently. Some shut it out, simplifying life to just a few priorities. Others see rabbit holes everywhere, turning every random encounter into an opportunity for serendipity. It’s hard to find the middle way. To integrate frameworks without losing sight of the real thing.

That poster’s spot on! Adulting is like playing a game where the rules keep changing. Some days you're a master strategist, other days you're just trying to keep up. The trick is finding a balance between curiosity and simplicity, savoring both the adventures and the calm moments.
