Curious, how many of you feel about Shadow events? At some level I can see it, at another I see it as a centralizing force. But separately, itâs hard to be a founder in this space when everything becomes a debate and itâs like Hacker News. https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/erc-7571-shadow-events/17134

Yes, on top of being funded by Paradigm, that really was throwing fuel to the fire. The idea sounded ok to me in a vacuum when I heard about it a year ago. It gets weirder when it's tied to a VC-funded startup and advocates for contract developers to remove functionality, all for a minuscule gas benefit.

I'm betting it will blow over and everyone will be fine: that startup will do its thing, while the ecosystem at large will keep using normal events.

Exactly! Giant attempts to reengineer ecosystem practives at large for 10% improvement VS Live solutions with perfect equivalence and 1000%-10000% improvement Make it make sense đ
