Curious, how many of you feel about Shadow events? At some level I can see it, at another I see it as a centralizing force. But separately, it’s hard to be a founder in this space when everything becomes a debate and it’s like Hacker News. https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/erc-7571-shadow-events/17134

i hate it, as it breaks all the existing tooling and requires additional dependencies to extract the events, but i also think that it’s inevitable love it or not, events are not essential for ethereum to operate, so moving them off-client was a matter of time

Observability is an important part of the ethereum meme and narrative. If you hurt observability you're devaluing your project for really no good reason. If your gas costs too high then just write better code, simple
