More than 3000 people have been killed by the recent earthquakes in Myanmar, and the death toll is likely to keep rising. I'm in touch with a relief fund accepting crypto donations - link below. I've asked if they can accept funds on L2s, and they will set it up if there is demand. Would Farcasters be willing to donate if they were able to receive funds on @base? https://quake.myanmarblockchainrelief.org/#donate

i think so, lots of farcaster wallets have spare dollars just from being on farcaster. i’d imagine quite a few people would be willing would be even better if we had a mini app for it, then people can just tap a button without copy pasting an address into farcaster wallet (still fairly easy UX)

Great to see the Farcaster enthusiasm for this cause! At Coala Pay we’re proud to support this effort by powering Myanmar Trust to fund vetted local responders on platform with donations received! We’ve been helping some of the world’s largest INGOs deliver programmes on chain in places like Sudan and Myanmar since 2023.
