Are there any ideologically driven people involved in Solana? My impression is it’s pure mercenary: decentralization and open source are not taken seriously.

yes, I'm pretty ideologically driven at least — accelerating the adoption of decentralized, performant computing is the only thing I care about decentralization is taken very seriously — open-source on the other hand definitely needs work

+1 to this, Im still chasing teams down for idls and upgraded idls every damn week (thats just the interface, not even the raw code) Im about to boycott analytics (from me) for any non open source products

genuine Q — how do you plan to wholesale change the mindsets of entire teams who frankly just don’t care about OSS? where are the social pressure points you can press? how can you make it a competitive advantage for teams to be OSS-first vs afterthought? what about the capital allocators, how to twist their arm?
