my question paul encourages us to pursue work that is not only financially rewarding but also personally meaningful how do we balance both and not tip the scales to one side?

this is a lot of what I talk about in chapter 12 I think the short of it is: 1. I did worry a lot about money, was not "financially independent" but did have some savings 2. I saw making my money insecurity disappear as NOT the main goal and decided to actually just try to push my edge a little by not pursuing money at several points in the first couple of years 3. Over time, I have developed something I now call the "puzzle of good work" - I try to monetize via "good enough" work - work that doesnt drain me but also is somewhat interesting too - but the key is just making sure I can keep coming back to what matters, which for me is writing 4. My income is down about 50% this year and so financial issues is a big question for me - will this book make a lot of money? not sure. but the big secret weapon is that my wife wants to do creative work tooo so we are willing to make a lot of sacrifices
