The Farcaster protocol is solid, providing a strong foundation for social legos to thrive. some thoughts on registration and login.

The plan to lower the registration fee next year has excited many, and some even hope for free registration, especially since many Android users get stuck at the payment stage. At there’s a strong desire for easier onchain payment options for logging in. While this is possible now, most people aren’t sure how to use third-party registrations or import them into Warpcast. These changes could lower the registration barrier and make it easier for more crypto users to join.

Of course, this might lead to an increase in spam, which would rely on client-side content moderation. I believe Warpcast's current strategy is already effective enough to handle this.

Additionally, there’s hope for more apps to implement Farcaster login beyond just the Warpcast method. While options like Neynar and custody wallets are available, they have yet to be widely promoted.
