“Woke” seems to be a pejorative for people who apply a simplistic moral vision with ruthless inflexibility while being sure they have discovered something true. I think it could apply to thoughtless “America First” sentiment. (Eg, “America is the same as true Americans; true Americans have been here the longest; have the oldest beliefs; look the part; etc”) One way to spot it is the consistency you can predict their beliefs on any topic, and how often they put people down rather than lift them up.

Both sides are calling each other “woke right” because woke=bad so anyone who doesn’t agree with them is woke. It is a term that literally has no meaning.

Perhaps you can call them right right? Since unwoke is ethically wrong. People (Americans in particular) have a hard time understanding that one can be both capitalist AND believe in social security and healthcare for all. And that woke just means un-xenophobic… But the right made racism OK again.. and woke wrong 🤣
