public ledgers, open source, DAOs, CC0 are all far left coded ideals. curious how the more right leaning crypto space squares these bedrock concepts.

A couple anti-far-left aspects of crypto:

Far left is pro censorship (when they are the ones doing it), and crypto is perfected censorship resistance.

Far left is pro government-based ownership (when they are the ones doing the owning), and crypto is perfected individual ownership.

However, the fact that crypto has ideals from both sides is something I love about it. But I believe it is well on its way to becoming heavily "right coded" in political reality.

i'm thinking of all the censorship stuff form the last 100 years in the states (Hays Code etc.) and that was all coming from the right.

Very true in the circle theory sense (that all opposite radicalisms begin to resemble each other).

I think it's not accidental that libertarianism tends to be more incompatible with the left than the right.
