Thinking out loud… Ethereum had a few years head start on Solana Why did Solana gain ground? Faster & cheaper. Solana has a few years head start on Base Why would Base gain ground? One potential answer: Farcaster. Why else?

I don’t think solana won because faster + cheaper. There were myriad evm chains that were fast and cheap last cycle, bsc, ftm, avax etc. that all did quite well, bsc especially. Solana has the ‘luck’ of bottoming out so hard it made its strongest soldiers very rich and then you had a crazy wealth effect coupled with crazy diamond handers and a type of culture was born.
