public ledgers, open source, DAOs, CC0 are all far left coded ideals. curious how the more right leaning crypto space squares these bedrock concepts.

Public ledgers are neither Left nor Right. They're actually an economic paradigm shift that doesn't fit into previous categories

anti privacy, communal economic structures have always been coded as far left to me but you know, after the patriot act maybe not so much anymore

It definitely has Left aspects to it but it's also plutocratic (at least in its current form) and depends on actors in the free market allocating their capital/resources to secure the network. So as I said, it doesn't quite fit into either Left or Right framework

well that's why it's somewhat hypocritical, hence the question. plutocratic but also blindingly unprivate. maybe we can call it surveillance capitalism

Surveillance capitalism, famously a far left ideal πŸ˜… I don't see it as hypocritical, unless one strictly adheres to some rigid ideological purity test in all they do. I see it more as a new and experimental space, and we're only scratching the surface of it. A sort of "New World"

I think what you're tripping up against is the notion of model purism. You're supposing that it must be one thing. In fact, Ethereum is only possible because it is a carefully constructed system of different things at different layers: https://warpcast.com/shazow.eth/0x3acff44f
