Why is rodeo en fuego and Zora in decline?

What is the signal in this?

this isn’t my post but these anoncasts get no engagement so…

seems like rodeo caught everybody by surprise. curious what people’s thoughts are here?

i agree with the friction and a lot of changes creating whiplash. the op grant stuff was overblown imo

There’s too much friction in zora, changed so much (early collections got bricked), pushed away artists during the op grant

Been a late adopter to Rodeo but it’s so fluid

Feel like a “signal” is incumbents got complacent

Used to mint on Zora all the time but I don’t remember the last time I went there

Don’t know why though

I'll be cynical and say
I don't see one's decline as related to the other's success.

Num-go-up-games have a shelf life.
The product can't stagnate but any change Zora made has a high % of ruining the original money game that attracted their users.

Rodeo's model is novel enough where new participants can play it all the way up to the local maximum.

The "post for fun, earn for real" thing, I'm not sure... like zora didn't make me rich ~ at all ~, and I don't want to collect things that have been posted for fun. 🤷‍♀️
