Makes sense the the old school Soylana community most naturally grokked the grassroots memecoin meta. They got the worst of it with the low float/high FDV VC Samcoins last go around and are naturally more savvy and cynical re so-called 'utility.' The dragon was slayed and they rebuilt a world in their image. I don't know how long this meta will last, probably longer that you think. Those in the meme trenches work for their bags like demons which is a /lessoninthere for those building a project with a token. As for the market for utility tokens with no organic community and no memetic aura... As Draymond told Paul Pierce during his ill-received farewell tour, 'They don't love you like that.'

VCs co-opted tokens and ruined the party for retail. Memecoins are a shot at the good olβ days but itβs generally not worth the hustle. Crypto is a genuine embarrassment to be involved with at the moment. Most of the OGs are more interested in other applications of blockchain, /consumercrypto or have moved on to AI.
