I can def still tell the difference between someone from Louisville vs someone from New Orleans vs someone from Dallas. But perhaps the regions closest to one another have flattened (ie., Georgia and FL panhandle merged)?

One of my favourite English accents is the South West accent. Some even suggest a link between it and Southern American accents.
