Everyone’s like, “I am uniquely prepared to understand this moment in time because I read history” and I thought to myself yes. I am picking up what it being put down. So I got a book about the 14th century— “a violent, tormented, bewildered, suffering and disintegrating age, a time, as many thought, of Satan triumphant” A DISTANT MIRROR by Barbara Tuchman

Ok. About “10%” in now (lame Kindle way of denoting reading progress). This book absolutely rocks. Tuchman is a divine writer. The way she puts things is so great. And the time period itself is fascinating.

Give me a day or two to issue a final judgement. I casted, cracked it, and immediately fell in love but need to put down a whole chapter I feel you on the small print too. I wouldn’t be able to hang either
