My favorite thing about FC so far is that it feels like a small corner of the internet where mutual understanding of crypto is assumed, leading to more interesting content & conversations that aren’t surface level regurgitating the same ideas.

I see channels being a great way to maintain that feeling as FC scales.

on second thought, maybe insulating ourselves from the rest of the world is a bad thing.

What gaut is saying really sums up to, we’re early. When we give people who don’t care about crypto a reason to be here, they will come and bring with them their skepticism and interests and diversify this very homogeneous environment we have here. And that’s good.

I don’t think it’s insulating when anyone can sign up without any crypto knowledge, just early 

If we’d have all of the facebook/whatsapp/tiktok crowd out here it’d be hell I’m sure

Insulating is bad ofc, but ideally with channels and good moderation, everyone can have their corner of the internet somewhere within FC that has high signal 

And the benefit of the social graph is that you can go explore new corners without rebuilding who you are.

If we can scale ourselves, then we can focus on bridging more of the outside to our little digital city
