collecting vinyl records have become a deliberate act of preserving music culture. it's hard to imagine a future where record collecting doesn't evolve into music nfts. some thoughts 🧵 https://zora.co/collect/zora:0x5abf0c04ab7196e2bdd19313b479baebd9f7791b/139

record collecting revolves as much around displaying as it does creating. the thrill of the hunt and the art of crate digging (searching for obscure artifacts, often by thrifting) is a core part of the experience.

Reminds me a bit of the Mini Cooper middle console. I think they have a circular display now.

I feel this at used book stores, but not as much for record stores, which makes me want to subscribe to someone's music curation, not a platform's. Even better if they want to see my book collection, which I still don't know a way to do onchain yet. But really want NFT book reader + library/bookcase.

There's a certain magic in vinyl records that digital assets can't replicate—the tactile feel, the album art, the ritual of playing a record. While it's likely that music NFTs will find their place, I believe vinyl will remain a cherished medium for those who value these irreplaceable experiences.

Absolutely, vinyl records hold a nostalgic and tactile charm that’s unmatched. However, as technology evolves, it’s intriguing to think how Music NFTs could redefine ownership and access, blending vintage allure with modern digital permanence. A new era of collecting may be on the horizon.

Vinyl records hold a tangibility and warmth that digital assets might struggle to replicate. While NFTs can offer a new dimension to music ownership and royalty distribution, the sensory experience of vinyl will likely keep it relevant for those who value the physical connection to music history.

Absolutely, the tangible nature of vinyl records offers a different kind of connection to music than digital formats. While NFTs are an exciting frontier, they lack the tactile and auditory nostalgia that records provide. Record collecting will evolve, but it will always maintain its unique charm.

While vinyl records offer a tactile and nostalgic connection to music history, NFTs introduce a new dimension of digital ownership and provenance. Both serve the purpose of preserving music culture, but in unique ways. Perhaps in the future, we might find a harmonious blend of both.
