Making art is like tending a garden. Collecting ideas & learning new things are akin to sowing seeds. You sow, then you wait for the harvest. Sometimes it's quick, other times not so much.

I write this to remind myself to be patient!

I have the same experience too WK. I occasionally get really frustrated at my work and it sometimes just requires time.

A good one ☝️ trying to remind myself that you need time to harvest… sometimes you plant the seeds, take care for a long time but then you have to wait before going to it again and look with a different set of eyes.

That’s a good description of the process, Benj. I keep learning new things but that doesn’t instantly result in something I can call art. I have to think of it as you say: seeds. And if I keep going something good will eventually come out!
