Right, but the ability to customize *any* part of the design has been pretty much destroyed. I can now only choose between 2 background colours and 24 accent colours?

I appreciate that building a product is incredibly hard and you always have to make tradeoffs. 

I have to say, it is unfortunately a design decision that many publishing platforms share: They are thriving for uniformity between publications.

It's very fair feedback and part of the tradeoffs we had to make. 

In general, we've tried to make Paragraph much easier to use for writers & help them focus on writing. We also wanted to improve the reading experience, especially for power readers switching b/w writers.

To do that, we had to make some tough calls around limiting customization (at least for now).
