The 92 page Democratic Party platform document was released today outlining the Kamala Harris agenda. Not a single mention of crypto. Not. Even. A. Word. After years of hostility. No way to spin it - this feels like spit on the face.

I'm not sure I see it that way. That fact that they didn't say anything positive or negative about crypto, despite it looking like a giant scam to everyone not directly involved, is a win. If we want politicians to be more friendly to crypto, then maybe let's stop making people like Ryan Selkis the face of the industry. We deserve to be hated by normies, and we're damn lucky the platform didn't call for a ban on cryptocurrencies.

To be clear, I don't think Ryan Selkis is the way. Crypto needs a big-tent, open dialog, convert the cynics approach. But think at some point you need to call it what it is. Kamala Harris is showing no evidence of changing the Biden administrations anti-crypto position if she wins. There's now been ample time to extend an olive branch - she hasn't. This is the wrong side of history. And no, we do not deserve to be hated by normies. And we are not "damn lucky" the platform didn't call for a ban. Let's have some respect for our constitutional rights. I refuse to let criminals like SBF define this industry. We have vitaliks, and brian armstrongs, and satoshis, and coincenters. Crypto is a freedom technology - a net good for the world, and I'm proud to be here.

Dude, this is just reckless at this point. Stop making this only about crypto. The wrong side of history is: not clearly saying "Fuck off" to a convicted rapist who's trying to abolish democracy in plain sight. Why do you bother so much about a state trying to fight a technology that was specifically made for this fight, rather than bothering about the corruptable and already down-and-bleeding governance system that is one layer deeper?

Well said. Crypto is anti-government by design, so it's kind of crazy that people are so obsessed with getting the government to stick their fingers into it. The government not having an opinion on it either way is the best case scenario in the long run.
