My parents say I should do a TV show about how to actually be healthy, i always reply that it would be the most boring show ever because I'd just say the same 4 things: 1) sleep 2) exercise 3) no drugs or tobacco 4) eat real food

A man was brought in after a suicide attempt. He took all of his propranolol (a beta blocker that lowers heart rates and blood pressure) and drank a liter of whiskey. We put him on the ventilator and worked on him all night. I ordered treatments I've never done before or since. We did high dose insulin and D10W (sugar water), high dose lipids, got meds brought in from outside hospitals, plus the usual vasopressors. He walked out of the hospital after a brief stay in the psych ward. I celebrated it as one of my biggest wins 3 months later, I'm called to the ER for an admit. A bunch of cops are hanging around as I walk in. He did it again, this time less severe. But in the process, he shattered his girlfriend's face with his fist and assaulted a cop. I hated every moment of saving his life again

Vitalik had a great reply to this several years ago, basically: Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, uses the same iPhone that most everyone else uses. New technology, medicine included, is scalable and deflationary over the long term. The rich will be the first benefiaries, but it will eventually be available to all. My bigger concern is what does it do to a young person's upward mobility if a person can function just as well at 120 as they did at 20? How do you get promoted and opportunity?

I've been "playing" ethernauts, a game by openZeppelin that teaches how to hack smart contracts (in order to teach how to prevent hacks). I'm through level 9 and really like the first few, but it's clear it was written when erc20 was new. Every level so far has required sending raw Ether transactions, which doesn't seem really common nowadays. Also it has attack vectors that are not possible now as the evem has matured (overflow/underflow, self-destruct, etc). Still fun and something I plan to complete https://ethernaut.openzeppelin.com/
