“decentralization” is such an overloaded term the real properties it embodies that matter & that we should talk about more: - availability - resiliency - redundancy - verifiability - inclusiveness - … what does decentralization mean to you? thankful to be a part of this abundantly distributed community

Yes. The killer super power of crypto is autonomous. Crypto is not needed for decentralized (US presidential election is decentralized)

Agree. I had to cut this bit from a recent talk, but I'd like to expand on it:

90% of people stoked about ‘decentralization’ don’t care about freedom, privacy, or the tech— they just want number go up

Yes, those + user level: - deterrence - emancipation - autonomy - agency - participation - systems + data integrity - access - selective encryption - persistence of memory - defense in a dark forest - etc Common thread = decentralized power, possibility + personal capacity to use our fragile freedoms -> not just tech

Decentralization is sort of a catch all for people that have the general anti centralization stance: a preference and emphasis on and for the edges. In a general sense, I "like" or "want" decentralization but it doesn't really mean anything nor does it solve anything. Decentralization serves as a psychological interest rather than an answer in social consensus. The question is about the future. what are you trying to solve; what are you trying to build? Where are you at in that journey and what story do you have to tell about it?

Decentralization means I can choose purpose over profit and play by my own rules. No centralized agent decides what, when and for how much I have to perform.

The whole purpose of De is to remove oligarchy, not based ideology. It was NEVER to pump WOKE or NWO enslavement ideals that the 'useful idiots' seem to love.
