@july i just want you to know that tonight i scrolled all the way down your feed to pre-channel times to find a blogpost that i think you posted, and failed. @pugson caught me last week casting about also scouring everything to find another blogpost that i read in January, which i also failed. what i learned about myself through these futile exercises is i don't remember what i read i just remember how i feel when i read it.

a wise man @0xchris once told me, with jobs the rule of thumb on whether you stay or go is if you’re happy with at least 2/3 of these things: - what you do - who’s your boss - who you work with misguided hiring decisions jeopardize 1/3 of an employee’s burnout-meter. often an expensive mistake to recover from.

everything you gather is just more that you can lose deflationary pressures kicking in. i think about my consumption and the privileged excess i mindlessly enjoy. you hold onto the silver linings you can find these days. if we end up less materialistic and more empowered to take care of Earth perhaps that’s one
